Hi Aather! I really like seeing memes on Plurk, but they're all hard to find a few days later, and I like having things in one place. Because of that, I was going to start posting a meme/poll in the OOC comm once a week (possibly Monday, just for the alliterative "Meme Monday").

It would really help me out if you'd leave a comment with a meme or memes that you'd like to see done in the OOC comm! If someone comments with a meme you'd really like to see, please +1 it so I can get a sense of how much people want it.

twenty-ninth memory / day 142 / three / “We Hitch A Ride With Dead Confederates,” “Clarisse Blows Everything Up” (SOM 10+11 )

Percy, Tyson, and Annabeth escape from the Princess Andromeda on their lifeboat and go to a hide-out Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia used to have. They end up fighting hydras. Clarisse saves them in a Civil War-era boat staffed by zombies. They pass through Scylla and Charybdis and… the boat explodes and it seems like Tyson is dead…

The point of this memory is Scylla, Charybdis, and THREE YOU’RE GOING HYDRAS WRONG. THREE COME BACK HERE AND LET ME LECTURE YOU; IF I HAVE TO FIGHT HYDRAS I AT LEAST WANT DONUT STORE CHAINS.

thirtieth memory / day 143 / peter pan / “Percy Jackson and the Sword of Hades” (Demigod Files)
form: gold stick; one use

Percy, Thalia, and Nico have a ka-fucking-waii Christmas adventure. Persephone drags them all to the Underworld, because she’s been secretly forging a sword for Hades with one of his keys in it, so it you poke someone with it they’ll die or come back to life… and then it got stolen. The Little Three have to follow a magic flower to catch the thief. They encounter Sisyphus and also monsters, and Melinoe shows up and scares everyone except Percy has no ghosts because he is at peace with all the dead people in his life? Percy gets a Titan Lethe’d, they find the sword, the Kindly Ones fly them back to Hades’s palace and… I forget how the short story ends, should probably reread it before Persephone intros.

It's a good thing this is unlimited use because most of what's covered is online. It's sad but also AMAZING.

Percy leaves a burnt-out house in Napa and goes on a survival quest to Berkeley. Legit, it is a death run. He has no memory, hijacks police cars, steals stuff from convenience stores, and gets constantly chased by high-level monsters. They can't kill him because he has invincible-skin, but whenever he kills them they revive a bit later. Not even rolling in creeks and decorating himself with air freshener will throw them off his trail :( at night he cuddles with his panda pillow So eventually Percy fights some gorgons who want to give him Bargain Mart samples (and who are irritated that he can't remember killing Medusa), and they drop this:

“Before you slash me to bits,” he said, “who’s this patron you mentioned?”

Euryale sneered. “The goddess Gaea, of course! The one who brought us back from oblivion! You won’t live long enough to meet her, but your friends below will soon face her wrath. Even now, her armies are marching south. At the Feast of Fortune, she’ll awaken, and the demigods will be cut down like—like—”

“Like our low prices at Bargain Mart!” Stheno suggested.

Fight blah blah Percy sleds down a cliff on a sample tray and that goes right into the starter memory.

basically:Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover go to the winter solstice council. Thalia joins the Hunters so she'll be fifteen forever and not have the prophecy be about her. The gods are like "o but percy is still dangerous" and they almost vote to kill him. But they don't. There's a dance, and Athena comes over and goes "I DON'T APPROVE OF YOU AND MY DAUGHTER YOU ARE DANGEROUS" but Percy and Annabeth dance anyway. They go back to camp and Nico is all "I KNOW BIANCA'S DEAD I HATE YOU" and Percy realizes he's Hades's kid, and decides that he'll accept the prophecy so it doesn't have to be about Nico.

There's TENSION because Percy and Thalia have different leadership...ness... Percy deviates from the plan and Annabeth gets captured. Artemis's hunters save. Bianca joins the Hunters. They drive the SUN!!!!! to Camp Half-Blood. And Percy gets a vision about Nico...

lmaoooooooo Percy and Annabeth are in a rowboat and they come to this spa island. CC (which for the love of god I have always assumed is pronounced Seesee and not See-two or this will be awk) convinces Percy that he's ugly and sucks, and should take her milkshake. He does. He turns into a guinea pig. Awk... Annabeth gives him magic vitamins and he turns back human, but so do a bunch of other guinea pigs, who are pirates. Percy and Annabeth run away and steal the Queen Anne's Revenge and sail off. Then they get to sirens and Annabeth jumps in, seeing visions of herslef building a perfect version of New York City with everyone she loves. A monument to last forever! Percy pulls her back on the the boat. They talk about her fatal flaw being hubris.
